U-Part made!

This unit was made with Yaki textured hair. The unit is not cut, but can be worn as a middle part, parted on left or right side. To maintain this style I recommend pin curling the unit.

No product is ever really used on my units, but I do recommend as less heat as possible. Some people automatically assume they can curl it all the time with no heat protecting products and notice later that it looks as if they have stuck their hand in a socket.

Always use a very small amount of product such as a heat protectant. This prolongs the life of the hair extensions, allowing a longer life of your extensions.

I made this unit using a sewing machine so it will last even longer. I will post another post on how i made it into a closure wig and straighten it.

Custom Wig Lookbook #1

This is my custom wig look book. My goal is to create a look book of inspired styles every week. I will be creating looks for myself or clients. I love changing my hair, even though it is very easy too become complacent and wear one style all the time, I think it is wise to change it up a bit.

The short wigs are bonded on a cap:

And the other wigs are sewn with a sewing machine.

So your probably wondering what cap I use to create my wigs? Check back another time, that will be another post, lol. Thanks for reading, subscribe to my blog and share with your friends.

Mayvenn machine sewn wig-Deep wavy

This wig was made with my hair I sell on my site, to purchase click here Mayvenn hair. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to make closure wigs. The process is quick but, you have to know the following:

  • Make sure your bobbin is full
  • Your tension is correct
  • Correct spacing of tracks
  • Using a closure
If all those things are correct this type of wig can be completed in a short time. Subscribe to my channel and blog for more videos and post.

What is ventilating?

Image result for ventilation needle

Ventilating is an art and before I really decided to began my wig making journey, I never knew exactly what it meant. I knew it had to do with wigs, but still had no clue, lol.  I decided to learn last year so I began researching and I learned quite a bit.

So you ask what is ventilating? Ventilating is adding one single strand or a couple of strands at a time to a net. Hair is attached with needle:
The needles come in different sizes, ranging from 0-4. The numbers describe how many hairs are picked up at a time. The number "1" is used around the hairline and gives a realistic appearance. The needle size 2-3 picks up more hair and applies more density and thickness.
The beginning of my journey was quite frustrating, I threw my mannequin head across the room a many days because I could not knot at all. At the moment I only love single knot ventilation. This is what my journey looked like when I began:
I began practicing on netting which had bigger holes, but still quite frustrating. I practiced and this is what I began to see:
Before long I had completed so much more!! All I can say is patience is a virtue, and if you don't have it, then keep practicing until you do. I still take classes and still love to learn as much as I can in the world of wig making. Here is some more:

Mayvenn Brazillian curl

So I decided to create a wig using the Mayvenn Brazilian curl. The curls look coarse, but yet it still looks like a mini twist out. Cannot wait to play around with a twist out. This hair is definately pretty, now the question is would I wear it? Yes and no, it would take some getting used to only because it is soooo big, but it is beautiful. I know when I wore the synthetic wig Beshae it was huge, but never have I worn curly hair this tight.

I will be making another wig using cheap beauty supply hair. The Mayvenn hair is very soft and manageable, the beauty supply hair, I don't know, but maybe I will do a comparison and see.
Here are photos!!

Will be making a video on a twist out!! Talk at you later!! Thanks for reading!
